LIGHTING UP MINNESOTA YELLOW

Minnesota is taking steps toward joining the national effort to illuminate America in yellow on January 27 in honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day. While official participating locations are still being confirmed, community interest and outreach within the state continue to build momentum. As soon as Minnesota landmarks formalize their involvement, this page will showcase photos and updates from across the state.

We encourage Minnesota’s cities, public institutions, universities, cultural centers, and landmark facilities to take part in this meaningful annual tribute. By participating, Minnesota will join communities nationwide in honoring Holocaust victims and supporting education, remembrance, and unity.

I-35W  Bridge, which collapsed in 2007 is completely rebuilt and will light up yellow for January 27, 2026
Minnesota is proud to participate in “Lighting Up America Yellow on International Holocaust Remembrance Day. This day is a commemoration of the liberation of Auschwitz concentration camp, allowing us to commemorate the victims and honor the survivors of the Shoah. It serves as a reminder of the consequences of unchecked hate, and allows us to designate time to ensure that the memory of the Holocaust and the associated lessons are present.
